Let's break the taboo of talking about death by bringing death into life. End of life planning you'll thank your selfie for!
Sure—thinking about your own death probably isn't something marked on your 'fave-things-to-do' list.

'Cause let's face it...death can be an uncomfortable subject. And your own death? Even more confronting!

But what if you knew that your end of life plans were in place to ensure a once in a lifetime send off? What if you lived the rest of those life-filled years ahead with peace of mind that the celebration in store for your loved ones was as true to you as possible?
In light of COVID-19, it is more important NOW then ever to get your end of life wishes in order. Schedule your free consultation call today to see how I can help you.
Working together 1:1, I bring my diversity of skills and experience to the table. Using knowledge and insight developed through my thanatology studies, organizational skills from my work as a project manager, and creative experience as an art director and graphic designer, I guide and support you through the options and process of getting your end-of-life wishes in tip top order.

I know death can be an avoidance-inducing topic.
Before 2012, I wasn't the kind of person to openly talk about about death if I didn't have to. It was something I knew existed but never wanted to consider in my own life. Then, when my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, I had no choice.

The death of my mom hit me hard. It was a time in my life I wouldn't wish upon anyone. But it made me realize there's so much room for positivity to be brought into the preparation of our end-of-life plans.
Hi, I'm Tara and I'm an End of Life Planner & Educator who helps life-loving, creative people explore and plan their end of life wishes.
About
Thanatology might sound a little out there, but that's exactly what I got into—an education in death and dying.
Studying through The New York Open Center's Art of Dying Institute exposed me to many ideas, possible paths and inspiring people. It made me realize I could use my knowledge and skills to guide and support others. Bringing some light into the dark topic of death helps bring meaning and purpose to our lives.

Now, I make death, dying, and 'what-happens-after'- planning an enjoyable and creative process for you to benefit from. To think about death helps you live!

(A quick note: I'm not an estate planner or funeral director. I'm your wise guide on the side. I focus on the options, steps and details, while you get to approach your end-of-life wishes with the heart and creativity to bring your dying wishes to life.)
The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.
Mark Twain
Whether it's considering how you'd like your funeral to play out, how you want your digital presence handled after you've kicked the bucket, given up the ghost, or what other options you might like to consider, I'm here to help you.

With the right information and the right approach, the end doesn't have to be overwhelming and scary—it can be a joyous celebration of your fabulous life!
Have you ever found yourself telling a friend or loved one, 'If I ever die…' (delete my Facebook account/play Sinatra at my funeral/make sure everyone's got a whiskey in their hands during my wake)
Scared to death of dying? What if you knew how your life will be celebrated once you're dearly departed?
Maybe you're thinking, 'I'm healthy and young(ish!)--why should I be thinking about my death now?' Here's why: at this moment, when you don't have to be thinking about the end of your life is the perfect time to plan your wishes. Make the most of your here-and-now to create the end-of-life plan that's true to who you are and able to evolve and change over time with you.

Confronting our feelings and giving them appropriate expression always takes strength, not weakness. It takes strength to face our sadness and to grieve and to let our grief and our anger flow in tears when they need to. It takes strength to talk about our feelings and to reach out for help and comfort when we need.
Mr. Rogers
Working with me, your end of life planner, provides the peace of mind that comes with organizing your farewell to be a celebration that's totally true to you. I will help you:
Through feel-good, free-flow conversation, it's my job to take the fear out of confronting your mortality, and instead approach your end of life plans with the celebration and zest you oughta be remembered by.

Because the way I see it, death is a reminder for the living to live. Facing your death now is liberating. It helps you step into enjoying your life: your quality time with friends, your memories made with loved ones, your travels and adventures.

With this in mind, I aim to make our work together
        • A fun-for-you process
        • A celebration of life (your life!)
        • An opportunity to creatively work through the choices and options available
        • Know what options are out there
        • Get your affairs in order by guiding you along the way
        • Plan the celebration you want your life to receive (memorial/funeral/wake science donation/vigil)
        • Feel prepared (well, as prepared as you can be!) for your mortality. You get to work on this part of your life in a happy, supportive, focused space so you don't HAVE to face these decisions when you'd rather not.
Your end of life should reflect and celebrate all that is YOU!
        Work With Me
You can't control everything, but you DO get control over how your death is handled. And shouldn't your life be celebrated? I'm here to give you the guidance, direction, education and counsel you need to get your end-of-life plans together in a way that feels like you.

Why would you want to discuss or pre-plan your final wishes now while you're healthy? There are things about how you're remembered, how you're honored, how you're "laid to rest" that are important to you.

And, sometimes – MOST OF THE TIME – we don't usually get warning signs when the end is near. Too bad, right?!

So, now is the time. You can plan your final wishes NOW. Making them known to your family and friends reduces their stress, and yours.

Pre-planning helps you make appropriate decisions while thinking clearly instead of under stress with an illness or with death looming:

✔️ Take control of the way you'll be remembered with your own spin & flair

✔️ Fun and creative expression of you

✔️ You won't have to worry about any burden on those left behind

        ✔️ You'll empower your family

✔️ Confront your fear of death and it's impact on your day to day life

✔️ You'll limit the confusion over medical wishes

To make this challenging process easier here's a simple road map that focuses on 4 key areas:
        All About the
        Paperwork
        • Guidance on all the forms and papers to secure your end of life and medical plans are set

By planning ahead of time you get:

✔️ Safe guard your family and help them be better prepared if anything happens unexpectedly

✔️ Guidance and direction on all the complicated forms that formalize your wishes
